About the Position:

Looking for a translator who will put his or her linguistic knowledge and skills to work for internal clients. As part of a team of experienced translators, this person will serve as a resource for translating, revising, proofreading, and adapting internal and external documents intended for a French-speaking public.


  • Translate (from English into French) information articles for an employee assistance program, as well as internal and external communications, marketing documents, newsletters, reports and presentations in the areas of human capital management, payroll processing and human resources
  • Occasionally revise and proofread documents
  • Help develop the translation team's terminology database
  • Attend regular team meetings
  • Adapt various documents intended for the French-speaking market as required
  • Play a consulting role with various companies stakeholders regarding the French language
  • Occasionally perform reciprocal revision of texts already translated by other translators on the team
  • Carry out other related tasks as needed


  • Undergraduate degree in translation
  • Perfectly bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a translation department
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Great teamwork skills
  • Extremely adaptable
  • Thorough
  • Ability to adapt style to the type of documentation
  • Outstanding sense of organization
  • Computer skills (MS Office, translation memories, terminology applications)
  • OTTIAQ membership an asset
