About the Position:
 
The Commercial Sales Consultant manages new and existing small business accounts and develops profitable, long-term strategic customer relationships to maintain and grow revenue, and achieve customer retention and satisfaction objectives in a defined territory.
 

Responsibilities

Revenue Generation

  • Attains sales quota by creating and executing a business plan to exceed revenue goals and expand our value
  • Develops mutually beneficial relationships with key decision makers and influencers in assigned territory/accounts
  • Leverages knowledge of prospect’s business, as well as our capabilities to establish value and create new opportunities
  • Establishes and executes sales strategies that effectively present a solid business case to prospects, using competitive intelligence to best leverage us
  • Leads sales engagement and involves resources as needed to address prospect’s needs and business problem(s)
  • Conducts negotiations on behalf of our company to secure sales that represent good business within current sales framework, authorities and practices 

Maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data

  • Captures and maintains all relevant information in CRM system, and maintains accurate customer timelines and forecast data
  • Follows all defined processes and timelines
  • Keeps current on our processes and any relevant changes 

Maintain technical knowledge

  • Maintains product proficiency to effectively explain the value of our products and solutions, and how they differ from competitors
  • Effectively communicates how our products/applications solve business problems
  • Completes necessary certifications, as applicable

Qualifications

  • University/college Degree/Diploma, or equivalent related work experience
  • 2+ years sales experience in prospecting, developing and closing leads for new/existing business
  • Ability to deliver services in both official languages (French and English) 
  • Experience in consultative sales engagements in HR technology, ERP software or a directly related field
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with internal and external constituents
  • Excellent time management, communications (oral & Written), decision-making, presentation and organization skills 
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Moderate to extensive travel required depending on assigned territory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise software sales/payroll/human resources, and account management is an asset
